Common Questions and Answers

If we haven't answered your questions below please give us a call on (07) 4088 6635 or Contact Us and we'll be happy to help.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes.  Closed in shoes are a must, sneakers or runners that lace up firmly are preferable (no hooks). And don't forget your HUGE SMILE!

Is there an age restriction?

Yes. The minimum age for tandem skydive in Australia is 12 years old.  Also, anyone under the age of 18 years needs their parents' or guardians' permission.

Are there any physical requirements?

The weight limit for a Tandem jump is 100kgs.  You should also be in general good health.

How much time should I allow for my skydive?

From leaving our office to landing on the sand, it's about 1 hour. However, we ask that you allow approximately 2 hours as there can sometimes be delays due to weather.

Do I need to book?

It is preferable that you book your skydive so we can expect you. However, if you wake up in the morning and decide that today is the day that you want to skydive by all means give us a call and we'll endeavour to make a reservation for you that day.

Is it normal to feel nervous?

Of course. It's not everyday you plan to jump out of a perfectly good aeroplane. It's very normal to feel nervous and maybe even a little scared, but by the time you leave you'll feel fen foot tall and have a smile from ear to ear!

What if I'm afraid of heights?

Believe it or not, a good percentage of skydivers and pilots are afraid of heights. From 14,000ft up you will not experience vertigo like you would climbing a ladder or standing on top of a building.

What happens if I get up there and chicken out?

This actually doesn't happen very often but if it does our instructors are highly professional and are trained to deal with these situations. When it's time to exit the aeroplane it all happens so quickly you won't even have time to think about it.

What does Freefall feel like?

It is the closest a human can get to flying and no words can do it justice! When you enter freefall you are accelerated by gravity, so you won't experience the stomach lurches like with roller coasters. Freefall is something that has to be experienced to be believed.

How long will I be in freefall for?

When skydiving from 14,000ft your freefall will last approximately 60 seconds.

How fast will I be going in freefall?

During a tandem skydive you'll travel at around 200km/hr!!!

Can my friends come and watch?
